Free spirits among themselves: the US chanson singer meets the drone-doom band.

When Sunn O))) first asked Scott Walker in 2009 whether he would like to contribute to their album "Monoliths & Dimensions", nobody could have guessed that there would one day be a real collaboration. Four years later, Scott Walker finally got in touch with the US drone and doom band Doom band: he had written new music and always had a collaboration with Sunn O))) in mind.

"Soused" is the impressively powerful result of a collaboration between two free spirits. Scott Walker celebrated worldwide success with the Walker Brothers in the 60s, went on to release highly acclaimed solo records and established himself as a chanson singer with sometimes bitterly wicked lyrics. The 80s saw a radical change in style and also a change in his way of working. Albums such as "Climate Of Hunter" (1984), "Tilt" (1996) and "The Drift" (2006) showed a versatile artist who continued on his path in 2013 with the complex masterpiece "Bish Bosh".

Soused" is the logical consequence of Walker's artistic work.
